Meditations

Today’s it, the wrap on the year. I’m planning to walk down to battery park and take a ferry around the Statue of Liberty, they may be closed but in either case a good way to book end the year. Then New Years in time square, at this point in history. What a time to be a part of it.
I’m sort of at a loss of words. So many ways I feel fortunate, so many ways this was my best year, so many ways I could have also done a lot better. I have so many plans for the future, and today is for looking back at what I’d accomplished this year, what I hadn’t, and what I need to do to actualize these things I have in mind.
Feel like there’s no grand wisdom I can say or think of to really put this in summation, but maybe I don’t really have to, maybe the gesture is enough. I hope you know my heart is in the right place, and all things I do, I do for the betterment of myself, my family, and in part, my fellow passengers on this strange and interesting ride. Happy New Year.

(I later realized that it was the 30th, not the 31st…kind of a gift in a way being dumb, felt like I gained an extra day on the year…seriously lost track of time out here along with my sense of direction…)
